Soko’owai Pavilion

A celebration space woven from memory and place.

Rooted on the banks of Tempe Town Lake, this pavilion honors the Hohokam legacy and the living traditions of the O’odham, Piipaash, and Salt River communities. Drawing from basketry techniques and water-based lifeways, the architecture weaves together story, land, and structure—offering a space to spectate, libate, and celebrate in cultural continuity.
